Bird kills [RE-wrenches]

In 25 years plus of operating small (1 to 3 KW) wind turbines at my
mountain home site, I have found one dead bird, as its mummified body was
still lodged in the cross bracing of the 4 legged tower there is no doubt
collision with the tower was the cause of death! In the same time period I
have had too many to count bird strikes into my homes windows, many
resulting in fatalities. I really think taking the windows out of the house
(and getting rid of the cat) would do far more to help the birds out then
taking down the tower!
