Hi John,

Since you asked, I have been torchering my own Sunrise pump by running it on
a 24V battery bank using a Solar converter 24-48V DC to DC unit. I turn it
off and on with a float switch which controles a relay that powers the
converter. I think it has been working for over a year and the float is
glitchie so it's not an easy ride for the sunrise (did I just void my
warrenty?). The only two clients I have lost were over failed
sunrise/controler issues so I have shifted to Grundfos SQ-180s in pressure
tank setups and I am still looking for the DC soloution.
