24 to 48V converters [RE-wrenches]

Wrenches,

Anybody have much experience with Solar Converter's 24 to 48V DC to DC converters?

We may have to replace a non-functioning 24V ETA pump with a 48V pump and controller. The system voltage is already set at 24 volts, hence the need for conversion.

I'm a bit hesitant about it, seems like a band-aid rather than a real solution, and I know these converters to be problematic. What do you think? Is it worth a try? or should we explore other, more expensive, solutions?

Thanks,
John
