DC-GFP/2 protection [RE-wrenches]

Hello Wrenches,

The instructions for the Outback DC - GFP/2 (ground fault protection 
device) require circuit breakers on either side of the unit.  There is a 
breaker to disconnect the array from the GFP/2, and another to isolate the 
charge controller from the batteries.

I have heard that the DC - GFP/2 is a 60 A breaker besides being ground 
fault protection.   Is there any Code, Listing or technical reason why we 
can't use the GFP/2 for the array disconnect switch, eliminating one breaker?
