Right on, training the user is still necessary.  Would you take a family
from a country that has never had any automobiles, sell them an auto and
turn them loose with no advice about changing oil, or driving lessons?
But the latest battery tests I saw from Sandia (or one of those labs) did
find that very high charge voltages (and appropriate addition of water)
preserved the battery capacity longer than more conventional charging
voltages. It was high enough to worry me in fact, so that are on to that
now.
