EQ guidelines [RE-wrenches]

Jay....I love it! This is what I've been telling folks for years now. Going off-grid
brings with it a certain amount of responsibility....such as maintaining your
batteries. I recommend a full charge to the batteries at least once per week and (for
off-grid homes) an EQ every 60-90 days. We've had excellent results with this
regimen.
    Also....at home on my own system, with a 1050 AH/24vdc Surrette CH375 battery
bank, I tend to leave my wind and solar charge controllers set higher than most folks
do. It's not uncommon for my batteries to come up to 30-30.4 vdc 2-3 times per week
during the winter months. So Hugh, I believe that's what you were referring to....I
do frequent chargings at the higher voltages but also do an EQ every 90-120
days.....works for me!
