Anemometer Options [RE-wrenches]

Wrenches:

The phenomenon Todd speaks of is not unique to the manufacturer he refers
to. A typical response to these types of situations from the manufacturers
is A) Denial; B) Blame the Installer; C) Blame other system components; D)
Blame certification agencies; E) Denial, again. (Has anybody been hearing
this for the last year from Washington state?)

I've encountered this with manufacturers of products in many arenas, not
just PV & PV related. I've also worked with manufacturers who listen,
respond and communicate while working toward a solution. My confidence in
and willingness to work with these manufacturers is far greater and allows
me to be their ally. I have found that this approach generally leads to a
better solution.

Generally, only after loud & continuous voices of discontent are heard, is
any real effort put into addressing the issue(s). I believe that this and
other forums provide valuable service by allowing us to find out what has
and has not worked. If we as the ones in the trenches maintain our exchange
and support one another with regard to manufacturer quality, attitude &
support, we will effect the outcome.

Thanks to Todd for his frank and descriptive "non-endorsement" of the Davis
anemometer. I appreciate that he didn't simply say, "It's junk", but took
the time to explain the reasons for his conclusion and the response from
Davis.

Keep the info flowing! Good & Bad.

Pray for Sun!
