xantrax/SW generator interface problems. [RE-wrenches]

Bob-O  Jay, and the rest---I was told that you can't determine if a
particular SW unit needs the f ix chip by serial number or birthday. You
have to power it up and read the rev. number on menu three. I THINK what
they told me was that if it says "REV 4.20" you're ok.(about the strange
error message) If it says "Rev 4.20 SW series", you can use the chip. I'm
trying to verify that now. Nick Houser,  Off Grid Power.
