flattery" but this is not what we had hoped for.

Reply:
A large part of our solar work is system design for complex systems.
Customers are demanding to know system pricing and what they need before
moving forward, yet, you cannot know a total system cost on these more
complex pv systems without spending several hours sizing and designing.
After describing the system we are proposing and completing this initial
design work, they go to the internet and order a lower cost system now that
they know what the need.

It has always amazed me how most people would never steal somebody's
property, yet these same people have no problem and do not see anything
wrong with "sucking" all of somebody else's ideas for free. They were
planning all along to "shop" for the lowest price, but knew they needed
somebody to "educate" them first for what they needed.

In addition, we have had initial talks with solar component manufacturers
(names withheld) for components we needed for several new products we were
developing. A year later we see our ideas and products advertised in
several solar trade publications by the component manufacturers we had
disclosed to earlier. Their assurances that they only intended to make
component parts was clearly false.

As for Outback's problem, I would do a lot more than just "run" behind this
distributor (supplying for free) all of the safety parts they are leaving
out of their knock off product.

If we do not treat our ideas as having value in our dealings with others,
they will not treat them as having any value in their dealings with us.
