Bill,

Thanks for the info.  As you know I have been focusing on the Siemens
earthsafe systems since they are the only system that qualifies for the
full $6.00 per watt LADWP incentive.  The average 32-module system
requires almost a full day to panelize and hard wire resulting in a
higher labor cost.  As you know it is much easier getting individual
modules onto a roof-top than groups of four.  I am sitting at my
computer today nursing a shoulder injury from pulling up modules onto a
two-story roof. Wrenching seems to get harder when you get into your
40’s.

I have been referring callers from CEC territory to several other
competent installers.  These installers really like the high voltage
systems with quick connects.  But I have been concerned about a
potential for fires on these jobs and how that may come back to haunt me
as the referrer. Californians have a reputation for being litigious.

I will be truly grateful to be informed when the new connections become
available.

P.S. Did you see the press release of 01/23/02 with the info about Shell
buying out 100% of Siemens Solar?
