If the weeds were of a medicinal nature, then they could be cultivated and used to heal people and PowerLight would have yet another feature that they could tout as they solidfy their position of being top solar dog for large system sales and installations.

I know of an issue with a large PowerLight installation that is over a 
year old in southern California.  There are weeds growing up between the 
modules.  Mother Nature sure is resilient.  The talk has been about 
shading and how to kill and control the weeds; I wonder what the roots 
are doing to the roof.  The danger stickers are working since no body 
has attempted to walk across the array to pick the weeds.  Hopefully the 
modules will generate less nocturnal condensation in the summer months 
and this issue will solve itself.
