Green Mountain Solar [RE-wrenches]

In California, PV is property tax exempt and the price of the PV system adds
value to the home or business as a home improvement. Well-done PV systems
enhance the resale value of the home.

During the time I did 110 4kW PV systems for the Sacramento Municipal Utility
District (utility owned, customer sited PV Pioneer systems), two of the homes
on which we did systems went up for sale. One of the reasons that the new
owners bought the homes was because they had PV systems on them. The new
homeowners felt the PV system was good for the environment - even though the
systems were owned by SMUD and the power fed into the grid and not the home
and the homeowners had to pay $4/month extra to SMUD to participate in the PV
Pioneer program.

If anyone has signed up to be a Green Mountain installer, please contact me
off list. I'd like to know what the deal is with GM.
