As a "grandfather type" myself, I hope there ISN'T a grandfather 
clause, assuming the test is based on the real world. Some tests 
aren't. This isn't about the history of photovoltaics, for example. 
If I don't know my onions, I aught not to be certified. Personally, 
I've come behind more than a few Wrenches to add, adjust, whatever, 
to their system work. Most were fine, but a few were horrendous. And 
these guys had been doing it for long enough to know better. Ya know?
