Hi Chris,
Been there and done that... its a simple case of a POOR DESIGN as this seems
to be a common problem if they are not removed very carefully.
The best solution I have found was to gently strike the knockout on the side
of the break away indent closest to the back of the PV. If you attempt to
remove it by striking on the far side, it flexes the J-box too much and surely
will blow the whole side out. It is best done with the plastic warm too as it
is less brittle. (Not a problem in Hawaii)
The other thought might be to suggest a hole saw, but come one... these are
supposed to be designed to be removed. I think the plastic is just way too
thin, or the break away seam is too thick for it to break easy enough to not
destroy the whole thing..
