	Quick and dirty test would be two series-connected 120 lamps connected
between the suspect phase legs. Bright light = out of phase (240V) No light
= in phase (same leg). A DVM could also tell you the same thing, but
without the assurance of drawing some current.
	I do have reservations about instantly switching a load between an AC
supply on one transformer and the Trace on the other, but as long as the
phases are synced, a few volts of difference shouldn't make much of a
spark. You did say that the neutral is common?
