120 VAC water pump [RE-wrenches]

Hi all,
    I have a customer with a 2412 DR inverter who is looking for a 120 VAC 
submersible pump that will work with this unit. I used to be able to get 
1/3 hp Myer pumps that would work well with this particular inverter but 
they are no longer made. The 1/2 hp model he installed has a  rated rotor 
lock  too high to start the pump every time. When it doesn't start he has 
seen the amperage reading on his Tri-Metric go to 252 amps.
    Does anyone know of a 120 VAC pump that has low enough rotor lock 
rating to be run on this inverter, or am I just missing something on this 
one???
