Must say the NZ experience is similar.

At a test site on the Chatham Islands many of the US wind machines tried self
destructed some even before the ute drove away from the site.

I would be keen to know if the AWP mentioned by Hugh would survive. I like the
idea of a larger blade with a low tip speed as long as the furling mechanism
stands up to the increased stresses.

I have to decide between Proven AWP and Bergy for a couple of exposed sites very
soon.
