This is important to know about.  I have yet to consider one of these 
particular units seriously for anything.  I'd rather others do that 
first.  Maybe we should take a poll of about how many of various types 
of grid-tie inverters have been installed by those here and see how each 
unit has performed.  I had a developer contact me just today wanting to 
put PV into fourteen condominiums he's going to build in a rather 
politically sensitive, high profile project. If this does go forward 
this would NOT be a good place for any problems occurring.  It would be 
most embarrassing, not to mention frustrating.  This project must be 
foolproof and idiot proof.

SMA/Sunny Boy [German] was mentioned
Advanced Energy  [not the same as AES I think]

Both of these look interesting.  Also, Omnion has a lot of experience
through the years. As some may recall, Omnion derives from the old 
Windwerks group near Milwaukee.  The first inverters I ever sold were 
two of their first grid-tie units which went to Wisconsin Electric Power 
for a test project.  That was in 1983.
