DR charging oddities [RE-wrenches]

Actually, when the unit acted up, the charge rate was set to approx. 3/4.
This morning, when all behaved normal the setting was identical. To make
the matter more interesting, I played with the charge settings at both times
to see if it would affect the observed results. This morning, the low
settings definitely dropped the charging rate--last night it appeared to
have no affect. At no point did the generator bog down, which would drop
voltage and hz values.

It appeared that I was getting some feedback that was scrambling the gennies
voltage regulation. Not having an oscilliscope, I have only the Fluke's
readings to go by.

Or is the DR/T220 combination so affected by battery voltage? This is the
first time I've tried to EQ after installing the T220. In the past I just
ran the generator out of balance. (don't you know the cobbler's kids ain't
got shoes?)
