Sam - Thanks for the great reply. That video, while showing a non-US product, has all the detail (including the 192.168.12.3 IP address) you should need.

Based on FW version, you may no longer have the SMA12345 temporary password for the Sunny Boy self hosted WiFi anymore.  The WPA2-PSK code on the Connection Unit label is the final password.

As mentioned, you may also be asked to set both the User and Installer group passwords on first login, but continue through commissioning using Installer group.

If this is a new installation then the user/installer passwords will be requested to be set up during this initial commissioning.  However, if those passwords are already set and your friend doesn't know what they are they'll have to call the SMA Service Line and request the PUK to use as the password.  They'll need to have the Connection Unit serial number handy.
