Jay,

SMA has a lot of good videos on their YouTube channel.  Here is what you're
looking for:

If this is a new installation then the user/installer passwords will be
requested to be set up during this initial commissioning.  However, if
those passwords are already set and your friend doesn't know what they are
they'll have to call the SMA Service Line and request the PUK to use as the
password.  They'll need to have the Connection Unit serial number handy.
