I would also look at if the battery is listed for residential and if
homeowners insurance would accept them? 

UL 1973 and UL 9540 are typical
requirements for the battery as a whole, and not just the cells in a
battery. You really want the insurance to be there in a claim. At the
minimum, inform the client and get a personal liability waiver for your
company.
