As far as 2v L16s go, I've not seen good things with the Trojan L16 2 v 
cells.  The Rolls version looks like it is one cell though, not 3 cells 
paralleled internally like the infamous Trojan.  The voltages sound a 
bit low, can they give you SG readings? How come they haven't put those 
on a maintenance charge at the warehouse?   I've dealt with batteries 
that have sat uncharged for quite a while, and not had any issues, but 
definitely didn't get outstanding life either.  I'd pass the discount to 
the customer and let them decide.  I'd also offer another battery choice 
too.  The HUP for instance is going to have a better price per cycle in 
the long run, since it has 2100 cycles to 80% DOD vs 1200 for the 
Rolls.  With the sitting, I'd figure more like 1000 cycles actual 
maybe.  So the cost of the Rolls would need to be less than half what an 
equivalent HUP is.

Also beware, many customers get fooled by Rolls' amp hour specs. They 
list 100 hr discharge rates, so the Rolls can look amazing on paper.  
However, the customer really needs to be designing and comparing at the 
20 hr rate.  I've made that same mistake, and was quite disappointed.
