[RE-wrenches] Disconnect spacing

I have an inspector telling me that this pictured fusible disconnect is too
close to the adjacent enclosure. Is anyone aware of a code supported
spacing requirement or manufacturer specification on such a thing? I have
3-1/2 inches from the handle to the enclosure which I believe is ample
space for safe and effective operation of the handle.
