Drake - that is indeed correct.

Spacing for the Connection Unit (CU) holes matches what was available in top holes of old mounting bracket. With those screws landing into studs, the unit will be sufficiently supported by the die-cast aluminum CU.

The only concern I have heard is an installer who mounted it to a horizontal Unistrut rail - the unit wanted to rotate around the rail. Having a rigid surface behind the unit will prevent this.

Also - please ensure the ribbon cable from the communications board in the CU that comes from the Power Unit (PU) upper part is detached at the communications board before separating the two halves. All units are power tested at the factory so the connection is needed, but it is not disconnected upon shipment. I do not feel this required step is sufficiently clear in our manuals currently.

Best regards -
Mike

Subject: [RE-wrenches] SMA US 7.7 T-L 41

Hello Wrenches,

A TL-41 came instead of a TL -40. The mounting instructions say to use 2 screws on the conduit box under the inverter to hold up the entire unit Tech support is being trained soon, but so far does not know.

[Emacs!]
Can this be right?

Thanks,

Drake
