[RE-wrenches] 2 stacked Schneider SWs run 53 Locked Rotor Amps Septic Macerator?

I have a macerator in my basement, I just measured it, and I was hitting
roughly 1100 watts peak for 1 sec.  I don't know what the Hp rating is,
but its 120 vac, so I'm guessing 1/2 Hp.   Do they have to have 2 Hp?
That seems over kill. The one we have does a great job on a toilet,
shower, and 2 sinks.
