	(Blush) I have to admit making my own interconnects this way for my 4
strings of C&D lead calciums, and I have a similar, but apparently less
severe condition that sounds exactly the same. My blue fungus dries to a
flaky crust and is easily vacuumed off. Probably something in the alloy of
the copper tubing. I'm 60 miles from the ocean, but in dank and damp
Oregon, so moisture probably does contribute.
