I say go for it.  I went one year to whatever that solar conference in
Florida was in place or a person from real Goods because he was ill at the
last minute.  as expected they were all what Wayne R. of SES  called
"talking heads".  Talked about financing, demonstration projects,
feasibility studies and how to open a "market", and in reality I had been
running to keep up with real field installations for practical everyday use
for the last 10 years. So I got up there for 15 minutes and told them just
who was using solar everyday, why, and what are the requirements to make it
a practical success for each customer.  It was well received since no one
else at that time was reporting actual consumer use of residential stand
alone PV power. You can make it more practical than most of the others there
can.
