If 99% of AH in is going out to the load (sounds very dubious) then 
far less WATT-hours are going out, and that is the true battery 
efficiency -- because the voltage is higher during charging than 
during discharge. Simple!

So, to make a complete statement about efficiency of batteries, you 
need to distinguish between AH efficiency and WH efficiency.
