24-volt Photon charger vs. T-240/SW charger [RE-wrenches]

Gary,
    I suspect that "Photon" may actually be "Photron", as they made stuff
that fits your descriptions through about the mid-90s.  Some of the stuff
was pretty brilliant, too, but the company is completely dead, with no
service, support, or manuals.
    Do you have specs or literature?  If you have a piece of hardware that
turns balanced 240AC into 24VDC at a good C/ rate for the batteries, can
bring the voltage to at least 29-30 VDC, holds input current up as voltage
rises (unlike Todd), fits the rest of the system, and isn't being inspected
for UL listing (if it's Photron, it's not), use it.  It may be a superior
product to the 4024, especially in the charging function.  If it eventually
fails and can't be easily fixed, then add the T240.
    If it's a Photron product, I have no manuals, but have most spec sheets
from about 1990-97.  What is the product's model name or number?
