Hi Travis,
Here is some info about Concorde batteries. First, Kim @ Dankoff (Hi Kim)
is correct that there is no reasonable current limit while charging the
Concorde, a C/1 charge rate is acceptable. But remember that you must have
temp comp at this type of charge rate to prevent any possible thermal
runaway.
As to Peukert's Exponent, I calculated it for the size batteries I typically
install in large systems. Here is the data:
PVX-12255 with a typical discharge rate of C/50 or longer, I use 1.10
PVX-12210 with typical rate of C/20 to C/50, use 1.18
PVX-12210 with a typical rate of C/50 or longer, use 1.16
I believe the smaller sized batteries will have slightly larger numbers for
Peukert's Exponent but I have not taken the time to calculate them. If you
have a specific battery size/discharge rate configuration, I would be glad
to calculate the number, time permitting.
