Sunfrost noise/Propane Fridge [RE-wrenches]

John,
    I agree that the Sun Frost still comes out ahead, but by less each year.
It's more and more situation-specific.  In our family's case, the economics
favored the less-efficient Maytag (at $800+) over the Sun Frost as the
dealer cost of more PV beat the dealer cost of the SF.  Likewise, I have
recommended a Maytag or Magic Chef to a customer because his fridge opening
isn't quite wide enough for the odd-size SF, and more PV is cheaper than
modifying a cabinet.
    In a way, given the ~2:1 ratio between the conventional fridges with
their 1" insulation thickness, and the SFs, I'm surprised the SFs use as
much energy as they do.
