Project Involement Level? [RE-wrenches]

Travis,
I just went thru a discussion with a customer when the General said they
needed 480 watts of fluorescent lights in their new 2 car garage which will
be used only to park their cars! They have been working in the garage
painting all their window and door trim with one 80 watt shop light and
can't see why they need more. I told them a separate switch for the one
compact fluorescent near the house door would be fine and leave the others
off. I think I am seeing a pattern where the GC is making a percentage on
everything going into the building and just wants to make the project as
expensive as possible.. just the opposite of what we are trying to do. Most
contractors don't seem to understand efficiency at all. Next Sunday I will
move the SW4024 system from a temporary shed into the house utility room and
the customer is moving in less than 2 weeks from now. The house was built
with PV power only and the General was somewhat impressed with that working
ok.
