Lead time from Sunfrost is running 4-6 weeks, as of my last contact with them, 3 weeks ago.
During the Y2K rush, their lead times were 1 year +.  I see Sunfrost as doing the smart
thing, by not growing to a size that they could not maintain after an anomoly like Y2K.
Just think of the employee training expense alone, just to survive 1 year, and then lay
offs.  The same is true for buildings, tooling, etc.  It frustrated all of us to see
unacceptable lead times, but at least there is still a Sunfrost company today to supply
fridges.

On the subject of freezers, we are now offering Danby's 5.3 cu.ft. chest freezer to our
dealers.  With a retail of $325. and power consumption between 500 and 650 watt/hours per
day, depending on usage and environment, not a bad choice if the size meets the need.  I
have had one in my home for 2 years now.  Is not sensitive to mod sine inverters.  If anyone
