TV needs sinewave [RE-wrenches]

    It sounds like a lot of modern electronic devices use the peak to peak
pulses of a sine wave  for some kind of control purpose.  When the wave a
modified square wave or top of the sinewave is squared off for any reason, it
seems to have a negative affect on those problem loads.  There are probably
as many different control designs as there are electrical engineers so it is
the luck of the draw whether something works or not.  I did speak with a
Honeywell engineer who designed the control circuit on my gas furnace and he
was very interested in what we are doing with inverters and said that
although he couldn't think of a quick fix for my controller, he would
certainly keep the inverter problem in mind in future designs.

My e-meter says I am losing ground getting my batteries charged on this thin
cloudy day.  I better shed this computer load.  (Our generator died - voltage
regulator burned out so we are on straight solar and wind for awhile....
hopefully til next November)
