Inverter protection [RE-wrenches]

Allan,

I'm confused by your email, it seems to conflict itself.  Please read my
email again and make sure I wrote it clearly and make sure you understand it
clearly. For clarity (after the fact) I am only talking about a Power Panel
with the PPO-C40 option which includes the 60 amp breaker.  The DC charging
source is still wired to the 60 amp breaker supplied with the Power Panel
but is moved from feeding the top to the bottom of the DC250.  How is what
Bob-O describing different from what I am describing except that Bob-O
describes pushing a wire in the same lug that is only designed for one wire
which doesn't meet code in this application.

In your email you mention running the array input to the "battery side of
the big breaker".  How are you are fusing/disconnecting the array input wire
from the "big breaker"?  I think we are describing the same thing expect
mine never leaves the DC250 which does meet code and is UL listed to do.

I'll read through my code book to get some more clarity but the utility side
of all "service equipment" that I work on and install daily is rarely
disconnectable.  Even if you go to the disconnect on the outside of the
building or to the meter at the base of the pole the utility side is always
hot.
