battery box fan [RE-wrenches]

Has anyone made use of a pusher muffin fan with dryer vent louver_s_? I
don't make use of any fans but have often considered that if the battery
containment is airtight enough to vent the enclosure properly through the
inlet, why not make use of these common even surplus units and combine it
with another common dryer vent to provide the customer with a vent fan and
louver that probably costs way less than the speciality units and in my
experience of other varied fan uses is quite rugged. The muffin fans come
in 12, 24, and 48 volt versions (just like the RE systems). 

Am I missing some fine point with this battery venting scheme?
