Problems with thefts of modules [RE-wrenches]

I still think the first step is to record serial numbers.  One thing
about a PV panel is that it is pretty useless when kept in the dark.

We dealers and installers should be aware of the little light that comes
on when we get calls from people who seem to have a lot of R.E.
equipment, and little knowledge of what it is for (they bought it at a
rummage sale).  

That said, I haven't heard of a lot of theft, not even with the road
repair and highway signs powered by PV's.  Anyone heard of it being a
problem.  From my experience, it IS a topic on the minds of potential
customers.
