Todd,

A new series of utility intertie Multimode inverters by Advanced Energy will have
the "silent sell" feature
you desire(called "zero current" by AE). The prelim. specs are quite impressive.
Meant for 48 volt banks,
It will accept array voltages of 44 - 130 vdc into its DC-DC MPPT
converter/controller.
It is capable of stand-alone, UI, and mult-unit ganged operation. Available in 3 and
5 kw outputs.
Scheduled to ship in early 2001.

Kirk, Vt. Solar
