Hum Hum [RE-wrenches]

Don't everybody hop on me at once for saying this....please take turns! I
run a lot of computer equipment here on my system...a DR3624 provides my
AC. I have NO hum on my computer speakers, or my stereo or my TV. I used to
have a hum on my phone lines but a bit of re-routing and some shielding
worked wonders. I agree completely that a sinewave inverter would be the
ticket but some folks can't afford that (myself included!)...so I'd look
into doing what Jeffrey suggested AND...check to see if that speaker system
is the kind with the 'dreaded' power cube. I've seen these cubes induce
lots of hum where you need it least.
