[RE-wrenches] Ev charger off grid

Hi all. 

I have someone with a SOL ark 12 (9kw max offgrid) who hooked up a EV charger and it’s now tripping ac dual arc/gfi breakers. 
I figure the charger or car or both are making noise and the breakers trip. 
The charger is set to 16 amps. 

I guess my question is since this doesn’t happen on grid, or at least I never hear about it, is this an issue anyone has seen in other offgrid install?
