[RE-wrenches] Code compliant PV wire to an EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra Inverter/Charger

I have a client that said she purchased the DPU directly from EcoFlow with
their smart home panel. They sent out a subcontractor from across the
state, who installed the smart panel without a permit, replacing the entire
main distribution panel. The workmanship was passable, but I told her I'm
not touching it until she demands they go back and get a permit.
Here's my plan for these situations... I'm telling people they made a
mistake. I ask them to purchase a single Powerwall 3 with a Gateway 3
installed upstream of the EcoFlow panel, with however many solar panels
they want. If the Powerwall battery is exhausted during an outage, the DPU
will take over with the smart panel. The sun comes up in the morning, the
Powerwall charges and turns on, and the DPU turns off and starts charging
from the Powerwall. The downside is that you need to turn down the charge
rate on the DPU, or the user needs to manage it closely.
At least they get to use their DPU's capacity and get it charged by solar
during a grid outage, albeit indirectly.
These things are simply not made to work within the code framework we have,
and I question their safety. 450V DC flexible cords to a charge controller
on wheels is a recipe for disaster.
