I wanted to share a recent interesting experience with the group.
I received a call from a client regarding module discoloration on a few
modules on a ground mounted array. I asked her if the color discrepancy
changed based on angle of observation or sun position and she said that it
did not.
Arriving on site, the discoloration was apparent. It turns out that she
was regularly watering some plants near the array and has very iron heavy
hard water. There was a layer of mineral deposits on the glass from the
over spray. A slight thumb rubbing removed the layer and the discoloration.
This was a new one for me. I am attaching a picture.
In my climate we rarely have dirty module issues. What would be the best
product for cleaning the glass safely?
