[RE-wrenches] Cantilevered array

I was given a drawing, produced by a very large solar company, showing
the array cantilevered over the edge of the roof by several feet. 

Notice how the array hangs out over the lawn for several feet. Is there
anyway that this is a legitimate way to mount modules?
