[RE-wrenches] An Aspen Builder asked me an opinion

Watching with interest. We deal with similar circumstances/requests in
Naples, FL often.

I'll comment on the battery capacity limit. If the jurisdiction has adopted
and enforces NFPA 1, and by extension, NFPA 855, you will be limited to
80kWh of battery capacity unless you place them in a detached structure.
Nonetheless, that is a pretty good pairing for a 22kW system in most
circumstances. It should drastically reduce the generator run time while
providing a sizable buffer for the available daytime solar energy.
