You may have an intermittent Ethernet connection. Pressure on a button may
move the Mate3 chassis in a subtle amount, but enough to disturb the
connections to the device. I suggest you try a temporary, factory made or
known good Ethernet cable.
You might want to be very careful that you don't accidentally plug the hub
cable into the internet port. I believe it is possible that you could
damage the internet port by doing so.

All,
We have a MATE3 on campus that resets each time you press a button to
leave the main screen. For example, we will press the "charger" button
followed by pressing the "graph" button, at this point the screen will
stall. The other buttons won't work at this point and the MATE will shut
off and restart.
