The back dorsal D-ring is the ONLY place fall-arrest equipment should be
attached. Any other spot and you could flip upside down during a fall, big
trouble.

The waist D-rings can be used for positioning, and the chest D-ring for
positioning and also ladder climbing if a lad-safe cable or vertical
lifeline is installed.

There are many options for more comfortable hands-free, tool-use
positioning on tricky roofs or towers, but they ALL include the back dorsal
D-ring for the actual fall arrest.
