Jerry Ostermeir at Alternative Power & Machine in Grants Pass Oregon fabricates custom diversion loads. Very high quality. It’s great to be able to specify exactly what the load is to be, and fine tune a system.

The riveted connections to the resistor lugs were not good, and backside heat problems as you mention, and serious expansion and contraction issues. Now they just sell the resistors, no enclosure. There is a need for a sturdy and reliable product here. Unfortunately getting a UL listing is so expensive.....but that may not be an issue for you out back of beyond Smithers, I know and love the area!
