[RE-wrenches] Apprentice interview

How about tool competence, & ownership:

#1 vs. #2 vs. #3 Phillips and flat blade screw drivers, Square drive sizes,
safe operation of wire tuggers, hydraulic punches, porta bands saws, drill
press, grinders, etc.

I have banned assistants from"borrowing" tools out of my bag as I work, if
they have it I cannot have it to use. Basic hand tools they provide & need
to arrive with each day or go home. I do not require a tool belt (tool bag
or bucket is OK) when working at ground level only on ladders and
scaffolding & roofs. I have had too many people in 26 years trash, loose, &
generally disrespect my tools to allow this anymore. I had one guy who
worked with me for 13 years and I still find his tools under houses and in &
on top of equipment boxes years later, great guy & excellent friend, but he
lost HIS tools like there was an never ending supply.

Or...
know the difference between an amp and an amp-hour or a Watt and a
Watt-hour?
Or can they explain what is wrong with someone saying "amps per hour"?
Can they explain what is wrong with this PV solar install?

Ray, I hope you find a student that will appreciate the wisdom of a
graybeard.

May I please add....

1) Must know the difference between AC and DC.

2) Must be able to identify what each prong is when shown an AC plug.
