[RE-wrenches] Grid-tie inverter for wind generator

Chris,

What is the wattage rating of the wind turbine?

And is that 48-60 VDC directly out of the turbine, or is that what comes
out of the turbine’s “controller”? To put that another way, are there just
two wires coming out of the turbine, or three wires?

Hello Wrenches:

I have an inquiry from a fellow with a 48V wind generator (it puts out
between 48 and 60VDC). It's an old Cyclone, originally made in Canada.
He's wanting a grid-tie inverter to lessen his electrical bill; I know he
could use an Outback but he doesn't want to fool with batteries. Anyone
got any ideas what inverter might work for him?

Best,
